Here, you download geological maps, from an area of your choice.

How to?

Select theme, map, map area, scale and map size under the "Order map" tab. Select area in the map window using your mouse or by giving the coordinates for the bottom left-hand corner of your map. The map in the map window is simplified and compared to the maps delivered. Maps are delivered as PDF files or plots.

PDF maps show a selection of the content in SGU's databases and are created automatically, including legends and brief descriptions. When your order has been received, an e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you have given, with a link to your map.

More maps...

Some Map Generator maps are simplified versions of our printed maps. We work to improve the technology and the underlying databases to be able to present increasingly seamless maps. In the future more of SGU’s geological themes will be available in the Map Generator.

New coordinate system

We have switched from the
RT90 2.5 gon V to the SWEREF99TM coordinate system
